The Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia, in collaboration with SMA Atisa Dipamkara, successfully conducted a Community Service activity on Monday, February 3, 2025. This trial class event was themed “Business Design Using Business Model Canvas.” The activity took place in a classroom at UBM Serpong Campus from 9.30 AM to 11.00 AM. A total of 30 students actively participated in this event. The class was led by Ms. Christy Ayu Sarah Panjaitan, a lecturer from the Management Study Program, and Matthew Gilbert Susanto, a student from the Management Study Program at the UBM Serpong Campus.
The Business Model Canvas (BMC) is a strategic tool used to visualize, analyze, and design a business model comprehensively. Amid rapid changes in the business world and the fast-paced advancement of technology, a deep understanding of effective business models has become increasingly important for businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and innovators. This activity aimed to introduce the concept of the Business Model Canvas to high school students as a foundation for understanding and developing business ideas in the future. With a solid understanding of BMC, it is expected that the students will be able to design, communicate, and test their own business models more easily and effectively.
Through this Community Service activity, it is hoped that the students will gain new insights and become more prepared to face the challenges of the business world in the digital era. This knowledge will help them innovate and think strategically, which is essential in this dynamic era. This activity is also in line with the mission of UBM to enhance public understanding of modern management and business concepts and to make a real contribution to the educational environment in Indonesia.
