On Friday, June 28, 2024, the Management Study Program Student Association, known as the Excellent Community of Management (XCM), successfully conducted an onsite company visit to PT. Bursa Efek Indonesia (Indonesia Stock Exchange) located at Gedung Bursa Efek Indonesia, Tower 1, 6th Floor, Jl. Jend. Sudirman Kav 52-53, South Jakarta 12190. The event was specifically organized for students of the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia, Ancol Campus.
The event began with participant registration in front of Lawson on the UBM Campus vicinity at 12:00 PM. Following registration, participants and the organizing committee prepared for the journey to PT. BEI, which took approximately one and a half hours. Upon arrival at the BEI building, the opening ceremony was conducted by BEI staff at 2:00 PM, followed by a group photo session in the Main Hall of BEI and a visit to the Indonesia Stock Exchange Museum. Participants then toured the BEI Award Room and the Main Hall of BEI.
The event continued with welcoming speeches from representatives of the campus and BEI. The main session on capital market education began at 2:35 PM, during which students gained in-depth knowledge and insights into the capital market, delivered by Mr. Hendra Panungkas Joviantio from the Market Development Division of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The session also covered systems and security in the capital market, as well as mechanisms related to safety procedures and processes within the market.
The event proceeded with a group photo session after the Q&A segment, during which students’ questions were answered comprehensively. Prizes were awarded to students who won the games held during the Q&A session. This was followed by the presentation of a Token of Appreciation (TOA) by Mr. Elkunny Dovir Siratan, S.Par., M.M., to Mr. Hendra Panungkas Joviantio, representing the Market Development Division of the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
After the group photo session and Token of Appreciation (TOA) presentation, the event concluded with participants completing a final attendance link and sharing their impressions of the industrial visit. This was done while enjoying an afternoon meal served in one of the BEI auditorium rooms. It is hoped that this event provided participants with better education about the capital market processes and an overview of the stock world, especially stocks, while inspiring students to take an interest in becoming investors. Similar events are expected to continue in the future to enhance students’ knowledge and practical experiences.
