Tangerang, April 25, 2025 – The Faculty of Technology and Design (FTD) at Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) successfully held an Abdimas Dissemination session aimed at equipping faculty members with deeper insight into the development and implementation of Community Engagement Programs (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat or Abdimas). As a vital pillar of the university’s Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, Abdimas complements education and research through the direct application of academic knowledge to real-world societal needs.
Held in a hybrid format at UBM’s Serpong Campus, the session brought together all FTD lecturers to discuss best practices in Abdimas—ranging from proposal development and project design, to anticipating community needs, reporting requirements, and publishing results. This dissemination also served as a collective learning opportunity to evaluate and optimize future Abdimas initiatives.
Based on participant feedback, the event received near-perfect scores across all evaluation indicators. Most aspects—including content relevance, delivery quality, media effectiveness, and speaker engagement—scored a full 4.00 out of 4.00, with only one indicator slightly lower at 3.96. Participants expressed strong satisfaction with the session, offering positive remarks such as “excellent,” “very good,” and “well-presented”.
This event marks a strategic effort by FTD UBM to enhance the quality, structure, and impact of its Abdimas programs. UBM remains committed to empowering its academic community as active contributors to societal development through meaningful, research-based, and sustainable community engagement.
