On Saturday, April 26, 2025, the Management Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia held a Community Service (PkM) activity titled Assistance for the Indonesian Student Research Olympiad (OPSI) 2025. This activity was conducted onsite at SMP Cikal Cendekia Islamic Fullday School from 08:00 to 12:00 WIB.
The event began with an opening speech and introduction by Mrs. Glisina Dwinoor Rembulan, S.TP., M.Si., who provided motivation and an overview of the importance of student involvement in research activities from an early age. In her remarks, she emphasized that research is not only about writing and reading literature, but also a fun process of exploration that shapes critical and systematic thinking.
After the opening, the event continued with a presentation by Dr. Tutur Wicaksono, S.E., MBA, who explained in detail the basic concepts of scientific research, starting from how to formulate problems, the importance of originality of ideas, to appropriate methods for the junior high school level. In this session, students were also given the opportunity to ask questions directly, creating an interactive atmosphere that demonstrated the participants’ enthusiasm in understanding the world of research.
The next session was again led by Mrs. Glisina Dwinoor Rembulan, who specifically discussed how to write a research proposal. She provided practical steps and concrete examples to help students express their research ideas in writing with a proper and correct format according to OPSI standards. The material was delivered systematically to ensure it was easily understood by participants, most of whom were junior high school students.
This activity concluded with a joint reflection session, where students and teachers shared their impressions and hopes regarding the implementation of OPSI 2026. It is hoped that this assistance can serve as a stepping stone for students to be more confident in participating in national-level research competitions. The event was also supported by a student from the Management Study Program, Andre Theranata.
This activity reflects Universitas Bunda Mulia’s commitment to supporting research-based education from an early age, as well as strengthening collaboration with secondary education institutions in building a generation that thinks critically and is solution-oriented.
