Hello, Biemers!!!!
The term “Career Path” is certainly familiar to us. It aims to equip participants, especially students, college students, or organization members, with the understanding, strategies, and skills needed to plan and pursue a successful career.
On Friday, February 21, 2025, from 10:50 to 11:50 AM WIB, the Management Study Program conducted a community service activity led by Mr. Davy Parsaoran Hinsa, S.E., MBA, a lecturer from the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia, along with Lavina Christy, an active student at Universitas Bunda Mulia. This community service activity, themed “Career Path,” was designed to help students of SMA Kristen Tunas Bangsa understand career paths that align with their interests, talents, and competencies. The event took place in the school auditorium.
This community service activity (Abdimas) was divided into three sessions:
The session lasted for 60 minutes, covering topics such as:
After attending the presentation, participants were asked to conduct a self-assessment to evaluate their readiness in choosing and pursuing a career. The assessment criteria included:
Participants rated themselves on a scale of 1 to 5 regarding their mastery and readiness in these aspects. The final score was then summed up, allowing each participant to gain an overview of their preparedness for the professional world.
The purpose of this self-assessment was to help participants recognize their strengths and weaknesses, enabling them to maximize their potential and improve the skills they still need to develop. This activity was expected to enhance self-awareness and motivate participants to design a career journey aligned with their aspirations. This second session lasted for 15 minutes.
The final session was a Q&A session, where the speaker provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions. At the end of this session, the speaker also conducted a short quiz consisting of three questions, which participants had to answer in a fast-paced competition. Participants who asked questions and correctly answered the quiz were rewarded with exciting prizes. This final session lasted for 10 minutes.
Through this community service activity, it is hoped that all participants, particularly the students of SMA Kristen Tunas Bangsa, will understand the importance of career planning and feel motivated to develop themselves in pursuit of a better future.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates by the school. Overall, the activity ran smoothly, providing participants with essential knowledge for planning their career paths in a more structured way. Additionally, the school gained valuable insights into the skills and preparations that students still need to develop.
